If ever there was a time for comfortable clothing to be in style this is it – enter oversized fashion.
The bigger the better, which is, quite honestly, perfect for the extra time we are spending at home – and for offering a more forgiving cut.

Oversized fashion, however, should not be confused with just wearing clothes that are a size too big. The difference is all in the cut as what oversized fashions may offer in expanded width they make up for with stylish finishing.
Instead of digging out your other half’s jumpers or ordering a size up, chose styles that offer comfort but that look good, rather than swamp you.

While the go-to oversize purchase of choice for spending extra time at home in the winter will naturally be a hoodie, investing in an oversized wool jumper or dress will give you choices that you may feel better a little smarter in. But back to the hoody – an oversized hoody could perhaps be your best investment of the 2020. Out with skinny fit, in with comfort
Skinny jeans have seen a longevity that is unusual in the fashion world, no doubt down to their ability to tick all the smart casual boxes. Yet the tide threatens to tide turn, and rather than move gradually away, oversized fashion presents a choice that is the opposite. Athleisure, including loose fit, tight-hemmed trousers, has already brought a new layer of comfort to casual styling. Now jeans are looking back to the 90s and, while not quite the baggy jeans of Britpop, ‘mom jeans’ certainly reference the decade with their high waists and looser fit legs. That’s not the only 90s theme to be resurrected with oversized styling as the lumberjack shirt also makes a welcome return. While some oversized fashions take the style to an extreme there are plenty of ways to give a nod to it, by choosing a loose-fitting blouse, larger but tailored jumper, or baggy-fit jacket. Try to choose just one oversized item to avoid overkill.
